Open spaces

In open public spaces—where buildings vary in size and openings frame the sky—I’m drawn to creating work that rises into that shared air. These environments can feel expansive, exposed, or very intimate, and I’m interested in how sculpture can both inhabit and activate that openness. I want the pieces to reach upward, acknowledging the vertical pull of the surrounding architecture, while still carrying a strong, expressive sense of gesture. Rather than simply occupying an open plaza, I want the pieces to animate it—to create presence, movement, and a sense of dialogue between architecture, sky, and the people passing through.
