Shopping complexes often feature a mix of large buildings and diverse outdoor spaces—ranging from wide, open areas to smaller, more intimate settings where people can stroll, gather, and relax. These environments present unique opportunities for multiple site-specific installations. The challenge lies in understanding the campus as a whole, including its architecture, landscaping, hardscape, and the natural points where people pause and move through the space.  Sculptural installations at commercial sites consider all of the elements, building facades, trees, open areas, and water features such as the L.L. Bean waterfall.
